About us

As governor of the community of Gao Ya, of the Zio Bai people, located in the municipality of Puerto Leguízamo, Putumayo, southern Colombia, I endorse this website, which serves as an information space that reflects our identity through this system. as a Gao Ya community, because we have to show what we are.

We have been thinking about having a space like this for a long time. I thank Father Albeiro, as a person of good thinking, an expert in communications, of great respect, who facilitates the creation of this technology with his social communication students.

Let the history, the teachings, be placed on these Internet pages, because all of us, from the boys, the girls, the grandfathers, the grandmothers, the women, the young ladies, the men and boys are part of our community.

May this communication project for the benefit of our community advance and benefit our Siona indigenous people, in the rescue of language, the preservation of our traditions and communication among ourselves and with other peoples for a contribution to a better world.
